Known as "Sheriff Joe"

You know that when you have a cool nickname (e.g. Sheriff Joe) you have distinguished yourself in a particular way. Sheriff Joe has done it by being a no nonsense, all common sense law enforcement officer. Those who break the law are treated fairly but not coddled. The lawbreakers are made uncomfortable but not tortured. The thought being, rightly so, that it will make the criminals think twice before engaging in illegal actions. Hats off to Sheriff Joe!
