Confusion of reporting

"Confusion of reporting"---
Yep, that is what one agency said when asked why their report of jobs created by the stimulus was overstated.
"How many jobs were created by Stimulus Funds?" --- "Gee, that is so confusing."

I grow tired of the audacity of hype.

From the SteeljawScribe...a worthy cause.

Everybody can understand how technology has made communication quicker. What is often overlooked is how technology helps in healing. Game consoles assist in relieving the boredom that often sets in while recovering from injuries or surgery. Support VALOUR IT if you can.

CARPE DIEM: Legalize It!

I never really thought about "flipping" the issue of insider trading on it's head, but this is an interesting article. At first glance, I think the author has made a good point.

John Lott's Website: Health insurance industry profits are actually pretty low

Just another example of the lies that spew forth from Politicians (of all stripes) these days.
Say one thing, when the truth is actually the opposite...
Cook the books to hide the actual cost of programs...
Continue down a path when that path is clearly a failure...
Support programs that are full of corruption with more money...
Use taxpayer money as their own bank account...

Sickening, shocking, and inexplicable! How could so many Racists elect the President. Nobody really disagrees with his policies, they are simply racists, right?

I just knew that the private free market had a solution. The answer has never been more government. Just the opposite...the answer has always been individual responsibility!

Want to get caught up on Health Care/Insurance Legislation?

Well then the best source of information I've been able to find has been the Heritage Foundation.
Concise, well written status updates are only a point and click away.
I hope that you will find this "Morning Bell" both revealing and educational.

The status of the legislation is currently a gigantic mess. It has no chance of actually doing what it hopes to accomplish. Service will likely decrease, costs will likely increase and there will DEFINITELY be rationing.

I'm not responsible, it wasn't my fault, somebody else must pay!

Read the two following stories. You really only have to skim them to know what is going on.

The question should have been, "Wasn't there a brake in the car?"
It is always somebody else's fault with the moocher class of Americans. They are never responsible for their actions or the results of their actions.

CARPE DIEM: 9th Monthly Increase in Used Vehicle Price Index

All my friends (okay, 1) who are wanting to buy a used car are shocked that used cars are worth so much. I tell them that they shouldn't be suprised that used cars are commanding a higher price, the supply of them has been artificially decrease (thank you Cash4Clunkers!). Supply down so prices are up. Any Second Grader (okay, my daughter) can tell you that when you have less of something (scarsity) than the value of that something goes up. (Think life preserver and drowning man.)

I hope that you find this article as informative as I did.

John Lott's Website: "Many" Congressmen Do What Rangel Does on Disclosure Forms

Ummm, okay. Representative Waters will you please state who these other criminals are?

The culture of corruption is out of control. The blame falls on the citizens who elected individuals instead of supporting ideas. Men will always fail you, while ideas are everlasting.

John Lott's Website: Five year old boy kills 800 pound Alligator

Amazing. I lived for many years on a lake that had alligators living in it. My childhood friends and I didn't think twice about swimming in that lake. Our parents, too, didn't seem concerned. Alligators then, I suppose, were more afraid of humans...or maybe it was that the Press didn't move at the speed of light...or maybe it was that our parents friends knew people (who would take out the gators in the middle of the night and keep the lakes clear).
Either way, those times growing up on a lake were wonderful. I didn't realize just what a great upbringing I had until I started comparing stories with my Navy friends. Only then did I realize how truly fortunate I was to have the wonderful opportunities I did.
This really is an amazing story when you look at it in terms of survival instinct or in terms of individual responsibility.
The very young boy was taught to take matters in his own hand if necessary. He didn't just give up. He fought back. And he appreciated the power of gunpowerder and ammunition. It allowed him to vanquish something much bigger than he.
Bravo Zulu!
